USP College was created after Seevic College and Palmer's College successfully merged in August 2017.
The new merged college offers widest range of A-Levels, alongside BTEC qualifications and the development of new professional and technical courses, Apprenticeships and Higher Education opportunities.
As a newly merged college, we are yet to go through a full Ofsted inspection but a support and challenge visit from inspectors in September 2017 was very positive.
After visiting both campuses, Palmer's in Chadwell Road, Grays, and Seevic in Runnymede Chase, Benfleet, inspector Matt Vaughan highlighted the fact senior leaders are driving improvements in teaching and learning and student progress.
The ‘supported experiments’ initiative that takes place in every subject area, promotes the notion that teachers are trusted to take calculated pedagogic risks in order to accelerate the progress that learners make. This is indicative of the positive teaching and learning culture you and your leaders and managers are intent on establishing across both colleges.
