T-Levels Week at USP College: Shaping the Engineers of Tomorrow

This week, T-Levels took centre stage at USP College as we celebrated T-Levels Week, following the launch of four exceptional new facilities. Our new Engineering Workshops, featuring specialised, innovative rooms such as Virtual Reality Welding Suites, were purpose-built to support our T-Level Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing & Control students.

At USP College, we’re all about helping students combine hands-on learning with real-world experiences. Our students now have the chance to learn in an environment that’s both innovative and practical, ensuring they’re well-prepared for exciting careers after college.

We’re proud to work with nearly 50 employers to ensure every student gets valuable work placement opportunities, directly linking their studies to future career paths. As well as this, in September 2025, we’ll launch our new T-Level course in Management and Administration, adding even more options to our line-up. The future of T-Levels at USP College has never looked more promising.

Chris Prentice, one of our fantastic employer partners, had this to say about the program:

“Rimplas is a small, privately owned manufacturing business with a turnover of £6 million, employing around 60 people. We produce plastic mouldings, mainly for medical and scientific equipment. Processing plastic in a sustainable and efficient way takes a mix of science and engineering knowledge, plus hands-on skills.

T-Level Engineering students are a perfect fit for our business. Attracting smart, well-educated young people is crucial for the future of our industry, ensuring they’re ready to step into senior roles and keep things moving forward.”

As the Technical Sales Manager at Rimplas Technologies, Chris represents one of the many employers we work with to give our students the hands-on placement, launching them into their bright futures. T-Levels provide positives for all; students, colleges and employers, the qualification helps to raise the next generation of highly skilled workers.

Here’s to many more exciting milestones for T-Levels at USP College!
