Level 2 and GCSE Results Day 2024

USP College break the national trend and achieve pass rates over higher than the national average

USP College offers a range of career-focused courses, from entry-level courses right up to Level 6, and today the College celebrated its Level 1, Level 2 and GCSE Results. This year the College broke the trend of declining pass rates, as well as beating the national average for FE Establishments.

Joseph Ritter, 22, from Basildon, sat his first ever GCSE exam this year and walked away with a grade 5 in English. Joseph joined the College on the pathways programme and this year passed his Level 1 course with Distinction.

I was happy to have kept my nerve and to pass. It is a fantastically good result. I really loved English and reading, and I think that helped me to do so well.

The Learning Plus team at the College are really helpful they are always there for you and are happy to try and help with any situation.

Joseph Ritter

Joseph will now progress to study a Level 2 qualification in the Creative Industries Sector at the College.

The College also celebrated another record-breaking number of qualifications as over 500 Level 2 qualifications were achieved.

I am incredibly proud that the College has not only surpassed the national average for GCSE pass rates but has also set a new record with the highest number of Level 2 qualifications achieved.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our students and staff. We look forward to welcoming many of today's students back to the College in September as they take on the next level of study.
