USP College welcomes guest speakers, alumni and a STEAM HealthTEch Roadshow as part of the latest CPD Day!
Monday 12 February, marked the second Student CPD Day of the academic year and saw the College provide all students access to nearly 50 different activities on and off campus.
Throughout the day students attended trips to London, including the Jack the Ripper Tour, Marx Memorial Library and the London Stadium Tour, and university trips. The day also saw USP College host the HealthTech Roadshow alongside Basildon Council. Hosting the event saw a fantastic opportunity for USP College's Students to facilitate sessions in their new state-of-the-art facilities, including a health ward and mega science lab! Visiting students and USP College students were also able to participate in several activities including a session with an NHS Scrub Nurse.
The day was filled with a host of external speakers including GB athlete, Victoria Ohurugu, supporting our sports students throughout the day. Victoria shared information on patience and perseverance as well as top tips for the perfect race-start position.
Four former alumni students represented the College on behalf of Investment 20/20 to showcase their journey into the industry. It was great to welcome back familiar faces, as well as provide our students and fantastic insight into their working lives.
Meanwhile, some of our A-Level students had the opportunity to create a virtual exhibition of historic artefacts.
