With students across the college carrying out work experience and other activities to build their employability skills, many employers have been impressed with their work ethic.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with USP College, providing a number of student placements for students studying childcare. We usually work with six placement students who work in our Ofsted outstanding day nursery settings. Many of the students have joined us on a permanent basis after completing their course, and we always find both the college and students a pleasure to work with.
I would just like to say how happy I am with your student whilst they have been working with me for work experience over this week so far. They have been productive and done everything I have set them up to do, even before the time limit. They are currently working on a blog which I have set them to do as a project, which they will write the content for and finalise on their last day with me. So far the work they have done is extraordinary and they have shown so much passion. I am extremely happy with their work.
Each year, we happily receive 6 or 7 placement students from the college. They are placed in KS1 and EYFS classes and are an invaluable addition to the staff team. Many of them have continued to come on a voluntary basis after they have left college, before gaining employment. We always find them to be well prepared for life in the school setting with a good understanding of issues such as safeguarding, supporting the needs of individuals and working with parents.
We have been working alongside the college for many terms now and have built a fantastic relationship with both tutors and students. The students have come to the setting well prepared and well mannered. Working with the college and students have been a pleasure and we look forward to continuing this professional relationship.
We have always found everyone at the college to be approachable and very well organised. The students have a good understanding of what is expected of them and how they should conduct themselves while with us.
