Course Overview

This is a 2 year course for students interested in developing creative skills required to work within the design industry, particularly Interior Design & Architecture. Students work on various practical coursework projects building knowledge of design processes and applying them to design scenarios via project briefs which are often live and set by industry representatives. The course concludes with a Final Major Project where students showcase their creative skillset in a design context of their own choosing.

Entry requirements

  • Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English Language and Maths. This may also include a appropriate Level 2 qualification.

Why should I choose USP College?

This course gives students the experience needed to move on to studying a Design or Architecture degree at University. If students are not interested in going to University, this course gives students the experience of working towards briefs and using industry-standard software that can help them towards Apprenticeships in the area or even freelance work.

What could I do next?

Students completing this UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in will have the skills and understanding needed to progress to employment/self-employment or Higher Education. Students can progress onto HND Digital Design or Level 4 Creative Enterprise in house at USP College. Alternatively students can go to university to study at design based degree or undertake a apprenticeship.
