This course would be beneficial to anyone who wishes to work in the innovative, exciting and fast-paced world of ICT.

It contains different strands which allow you to develop your skills across a variety of technical IT areas and includes employer engagement, manifested in live briefs and project work as well as Work Experience.

Modules

Year 1

Mandatory units include:

  • Information Technology Systems
  • Creating Systems to Manage Information 
  • Using Social Media in Business 
  • Programming

Optional units include:

  • Website Development 
  • Data Modelling

Year 2

Mandatory units include:

  • IT Service Delivery
  • Cyber Security and Incident Management
  • IT Project Management

Optional units include:

  • Digital 2D & 3D Graphics
  • Digital Animation & Effects
  • Software Testing
  • Mobile Apps Development

Entry requirements

  • Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English Language and Maths.

or

  • Level 2 BTEC Diploma or above and GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 4 or above.
