The University of Arts London (UAL awarding body) TV & Film production course Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production (one year course) is designed to introduce you to the substantial number of job roles the industry employs. Look at the end titles of your favourite film or TV programme and there you will see opportunities to investigate a career that will inspire and engage you.

This course guides you to discover the 'How to' for many roles from screenwriting, producing, directing, cinematography, editing, to a starter role of a GoFa (go for this - go for that) also known as a Runner - from where many well established professionals began their careers.

What will I study?

To be successful on this course you will need to have an interest in the theoretical, practical, creative and technical aspects of digital media. During the course you will gain a broad understanding of the following:

Entry requirements

  • Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English Language and Maths.
  • At least one GCSE needs to be at grade 4 or above.
  • Grade 3 or above in an Art & Design or Creative Media subject is preferred.

If you haven’t taken a GCSE in Art & Design or a Creative Media subject, you can still show a portfolio of work that shows your passion, ability and commitment to this course.
