Course Overview

Our Pathways programme is designed for young people who would benefit from learning within a supported environment. Students on the programme receive help to develop their independent living skills to prepare for adulthood, whilst studying Functional Skills or GCSEs in English and Maths, depending on entry qualifications.

What will I study?

Modules

With a wide variety of work experience modules, you are able to experience a range of subjects to help you make informed decisions about future progression.

Work experience modules could include:

  • Arts
  • Enterprise
  • Digital Media
  • Hospitality
  • Independence
  • Land Management
  • Personal Care
  • Sport.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required for this programme. It is designed for young people with a recognised learning difficulty and/or disability who have been in receipt of an Educational Statement. 19+ learners will need an Education Health & Care Plan (EHCP).

What could I do next?

Many learners will progress on to other courses within the college for example programmes in Animal Care, Sport, Media, or Health & Social Care. Other progression pathways include the Supported Internship which is a work-based learning programme.
