Job Details

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lettings Assistant to supervise and support the use of our Sports Hall and Playing Fields. This role is essential in maintaining the safety and smooth operation of our leisure facilities, as well as supporting events and activities during college term holidays, such as football and multi-sports birthday parties.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the usage of the Sports Hall and Playing Fields.
  • Ensure premises are secure and health & safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Monitor equipment usage and ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Greet and assist customers with information about facilities and activities.
  • Handle enquiries, resolve issues, and create a welcoming environment for all.
  • Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for sports sessions, group fitness, or other activities.
  • Provide support to coaches and instructors to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Participate in risk assessments, emergency drills, and respond promptly to incidents.
  • Champion safeguarding policies and procedures, promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the effective running of the centre.
  • Provide cover and support for team members as needed.

The right candidate will have:

  • A willingness to undertake First Aid and/or CPR training if not already qualified.
  • Experience in the sports or leisure industry.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a leisure setting.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • A friendly, approachable demeanour and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
