Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and guiding applicants through a seamless admissions process? We are looking for a dedicated Admissions Officer to join our dynamic admissions team and serve as a key point of contact for applicants, ensuring a smooth and welcoming journey from initial enquiry to enrolment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised support and guidance to applicants, ensuring clear and responsive communication at every stage of the admissions process.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by handling enquiries from prospective students, parents, and staff with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ensure timely access to impartial information, advice, and guidance (IAG) for all applicants.
  • Assist current students in progressing through their studies within the College.
  • Monitor admissions workflows and interview outcomes, identifying areas for improvement to enhance the applicant experience.
  • Support communication campaigns that engage and inform applicants, encouraging continued interaction.
  • Collaborate with support teams to improve service delivery and share valuable insights.
  • Participate in open evenings, interview events, and other outreach initiatives.
  • Stay updated on relevant skills and knowledge, providing training to admissions staff when required.

Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.
  • Experience working in a busy, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with database systems and communication tools.
  • Proven ability to provide accurate information and handle queries sensitively and confidentially.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional telephone manner.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a proactive team player.

Desirable:

  • Computer-related qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a similar admissions role.
  • Knowledge of College Admissions processes.
  • Experience working with young people.
